Duvet Styler

2 Aug

Three Resons I love Duvet Covers:

1. You can change covers without having  jeapordize your loyalty to your comforter.

2. You can make your own, really.

3. There are endless creative possibilities with Duvets.

Being a college student is eerily similar to being a gypsy: you travel from dorm to dorm each year and can magically fit all of your possessions in the truck of a car. Amazing! Duvet Covers are one simple way to make your bed a little haven of comfort to make the gypsy travels more emotionally managable. Say goodbye to those reversible microfiber comforters at Target, and start getting familiar with the finer things in life.  Here are some of my favorites that I’ve found online that fit any style and any budget:

1. Woodland Organic Duvet from Pottery Barn for $79.99. My good friend Erika has this one at school and I absolutely love it.

2. Field of Dreams Bed Linens from CB2 priced at $119.

3. My favorite of the bunch: Pierre Stripe from Pottery Barn priced at $119.

4. Tree Bark Duvet from West Elm for $59.

5. Organic Mustard Carved Circles also from West Elm priced at $79.

6. Another Pottery Barn find, these Matine Toile Duvet are the least colorful of the bunch, but are great for a black and white themed room, priced at $119.

The voice of experience here… If you find the duvet cover you love on sale, but it’s larger than you need, you can easily make it smaller by sewing one new long seam. Better yet, get your mother to do it for you 😉

I have a few of these! They are so cute and versatile. I usually change them out with the season.
